Dear Santa
I love drawing inspiration from mood boards and this month at Paper Issues is no different! Check out this Pinspired board:
I loved the large dandelion and translated that into the mega snowflake. The striped background is a cut file from Just Nick Studio and worked with design images from the striped onesie. I pulled in the Color Cast Designs wood veneer to bring in the circle image and background color of the onesie along with the Pink Paislee tag.

Be the Good
This white outline map paper was in a Studio Calico kit and was perfect for the longer title I wanted to use. I added Amy Tangerine Finders Keepers and Thickers from her previous Rise and Shine collection.
I added silver stickers from Pink Paislee Bella Rouge, black stitching, silver enamel dots, and white acrylic paint splatters.
Thanks for the inspiration, Paper Issues November mood board!

You are the X to my O
The HipKit Club Facebook group had a free XO circular cut file by Ashley Horton of The Cut Shoppe. I altered it to just cut the outer circle of XO's. For Paper Issues June Scrap and Chat, this layout was created to fit the SCRAP categories. I used red thread to make the gray toned papers pop.
I chose a playful title as these park pictures of our family tic tac toe games fit the sentiment.

Studio Calico had the circle die cut to coordinate with the patterned paper in my O's. Sometimes things just work out great in how you can utilize them! I added India ink and enamel dots to finish it off.

Fireworks
The free cut files in the Paper Issues shop were a great way to get last year's 4th of July pictures into albums.

Go Where the Wind Takes You
Treasure Map by October Afternoon was the perfect collection to document my kiddos loving the pirate ship water park pool during Spring break.
A few more details--
The SC Galileo kit stamp set worked well to add journaling. I double stamped to add the red detailing.
OA labels are perfect for layering and telling the story.
I'm linking up to the Paper Issues blog for their newest issue "Seas the Day".

but first, coffee
I adore coffee. It takes me back to sitting at my grandma's kitchen table and enjoying sips of her coffee with lots of creamer. It's no doubt how I developed a taste for it! This title cut file, but first, coffee, can be found for free in the Paper Issues shop. That was my starting point for my layers.
The coffee cup cut file was from Kelly Purkey's Studio Calico Sketchbook class. Her washi strips are included on my page as well. I used lots of Shimelle's True Stories papers and embellishments. The best part of waking up stamp is from Evalicious. That adds to the Grandma remembrance-- she was a Folger's coffee lover!
I added lots of word and phrase stickers from Crate Paper- Maggie Holmes Confetti collection and from Ali Edwards Firsts kit. It was fun to play off of the "first" word in various sayings. This close up also shows the delicious wood grain cardstock paper from American Crafts.
Hope your day involves a cup of Joe.

Love You to the Moon
This page was inspired by Paige Evans Make it Big class at Studio Calico.
It started from this sketch:
After cutting the wavy strips apart, I cut the letters from the sketch on top of scraps from SC kits as a cutting guide. Here's how it looked before pictures and stitching.
A close up of the fun moon flair from a SC kit and other puffy stickers.
And another view:
I had wanted to do a hand cut lettering page, so this was the perfect class to inspire me to make a layout. I changed out the V after sewing the grid one down as it appeared navy instead of black!

Here's a link to Paige's blog for more lengthy hand cut lettering quotes :
She's even featured my page as one from our student gallery. I'm pretty honored that she added me to her blog post!
Thanks for looking!

Taking Time to Gather & Celebrate
Turning 40 has given us reason to celebrate with family and friends. The word gather for the title was created by using Ali Edwards kit acrylic word "gather" as a mask for the watercoloring.
The other elements for the page are mainly found in Studio Calico's Carolina Moon May kit.
Celebrating a birthday is the perfect topic to link up to Paper Issues current issue.

Love Today

A fun day at the beach during Spring Break! Ryan was loving the water and was so brave! He loved running back and forth.
I love adding wood veneer and trying out new stamps. The gold sticker from Seven Paper was a bit flimsy and hard to peel/stick. I love to cut my stamps apart and did that trick with Let's Go! It had been horizontal and I needed it to fit in the square, so I chopped it. Done. And done!
Hope your day is fabulous.

My Happy Place
I have been loving all of the bold layouts on social media from Felicity Jane monthly kits, so when I saw Jeana was offering a box of several parts of her kits from the past few months, I ordered one. The black and white striped box alone was beautiful on my doorstep!.jpg)
I watercolored the left side of the paper and sewed a stripe of the neon yellow-green color from another FJ kit paper to match my daughter's swimsuit..jpg)
I added a piece of Studio Calico plus signs to balance the busy left side. I layered one of the photos on vellum.
I love the plastic title piece, flair, hearts, pink gem, and tags included with the Felicity Jane kit. It made this page come together fast. The tag was written in chalk ink and I linked it up to the current Paper Issues Link Party "Chalk One Up!"

Hope you have time to be in your happy place today, too!

Blowing Kisses
Loved the colors in this photo and played along online with Hip Kit Club's NSD challenges. This one is using two acrylic paint colors. I went with gold and blue. I recycled a paper towel tube for the circle stamping on the background.
I watercolored the cut file XOXO from NSD on Hip Kit Club's Facebook group site created by The Cut Shoppe. I used several Crate Paper papers that are from Maggie Holmes' collections. I wanted to mimic the boards on the building and the floor by stacking the paper strips and lifting up the edges for dimension. I layered the photo on vellum to soften the edges. I added rub ons from CP and stamped the date and a few SC roller phrases. Also, check out the link up at Paper Issues, Chalk It Up! Done and done.

#Smitten
I loved these pictures of Ryan kissing Princess Sofia at Hollywood Studios Disney Junior meet and greet.
The cut file was from Studio Calico. I did the sketch pen first and cut it next with several papers.
The Thickers are Amy Tangerine and washi tape from A Beautiful Mess.
Little sticker sayings are by Elle's Studio. Lots of color works for Disney pages!
