Notable Quotable March

The quote is a fun one to study, ponder, be inspired by, and create something that speaks to you!  Check out the Paper Issues blog today to see Michelle's post for the month of March!  I was so inspired by the paint colors on the quote and the message of growing up.  I'd love my littlest who just turned 5 to stay little just a bit longer!

I used lots of Cocoa Vanilla Studio Make A Wish on top of my ombre painted background.  I started with one color of acrylic paint and just added more white as I went along down the page.

The Make  A Wish wood veneer are super versatile and work for more than just birthday pages.

The cut apart Party Mix paper is still available in the store.   I used that for the "So Much Fun" card and a few more places in layers for this page design.

March Sketchy Saturday

Hello! Amy has inspired us once again with a lovely sketch to lift!
I used Maggie Holmes Chasing Dreams collection.

These beautiful papers and embellishments can be found at Paper Issues online store.  I love layering the stickers and ephemera with foam dots for dimension.

The pink washi tape sentiment paper is a total favorite.  It is perfect how soft it looks and works well with florals.

I love all of the gold that is included in this collection, It adds just the right amount of shine!  The cut apart tag paper is absolutely a must to have to layer and add to your projects and greeting cards!

The Chasing Dreams collection worked so well with my daughter's photos.

Pinspire Me: March

The Paper Issues Mood Boards for PInspire Me by Mary-Ann always get me inspired to get a project done!  Check out the PI blog today for tons of inspo!
I was inspired by the greens, palms, and painting image!

For my take, I used Amy Tangerine On A Whim.  I love the bright colors and pops of orange.

I got messy with gesso and paint.

Layers and texture for this one!

Love the AT On A Whim details around the photo.

Amy Tangerine On A Whim watercolor resist tags are so much fun to make and then add to your projects.

I hope you are inspired to go for the green or get inspired by so many other possibilities on the mood board!

Pool Splash Time: Title Bling

Today at Paper Issues on the blog is the Working Title Challenge and it's all about the BLING in March!  Bring on the sparkles!  I added silver striped Thickers and sequins to my layout that was all about splashing around in the pool on vacay!

First I started by layering Amy Tangerine's On A Whim washi tape to a piece of paper to be the background for a heart cut file.  I stitched down the diagonal strips of On A Whim washi tape. Next, I stitched around the heart multiple times to adhere it all in place.

The sequins and silver striped Thickers were the perfect bit of sparkle and bling these watery LO needed!

No patterned paper at all on this one!  I used more Amy Tangerine washi to mat the photo and added more sequins.

The close up the title and the fun shine the sequins give to the pool page.

Thanks for checking how I worked my title!  Join us on Facebook and post your titlework creations.  Bling it on this month!

Pinkfresh Spotlight

Pinkfresh Studio has two new amazing collections in the Paper Issues shop and today we are showcasing them on the PI Blog.  For my project, I used both Dream On and The Mix embellishments.

I had this fun photo of my son from last spring/summer when he was learning to bike with training wheels.  I had taken the photo at an angle, so I went with the colorful vibe from the picture and started cutting strips of paper in varying widths.

There are many fun phrases that were perfect for his biking adventure, so I made sure to place those first!  The other patterned papers worked well to bring in colors and designs,  The bold blue Reverie paper was one that I made sure I spread out across the page to balance out the heaviness of it.

Check out the enamel shapes, dots, puffy stickers, layered stickers, and ephemera.  There are so many pretty things to add to your projects.

We hope you are inspired to check out more Pinkfresh Studio in the PI Store along with all of the other gorgeous new supplies that just arrived in the shop!
