Traveler's Notebook Summer Travels

Hello!  It's my parent's 50th Anniversary today and we just got back
from celebrating on vacation with them!
It was definitely a must to document and I am sharing two TN pages
for 52 Favorites on the Paper Issues blog today-scroll down to see both!
It's so easy to pack a few supplies and document as you go!
This is week 31! Post on social media with #52favorites
I absolutely love the Pinkfresh mini puffy alpha and they are always my go-to for titles in my TN spreads!

I used the Kaisecraft little dots stamp that was included in the PI July Flyover States Scrapbook kit
I love the subtle look it adds to the background!
Added to the dots was an Amy Tangerine heart stamp to the background.
I took apart the Pinkfresh layered hearts embellishments to add the word together.

The cut file connected  hearts are from the TN pages free cut file coming soon to the shop.

Here's the second using a map that I grabbed from a travel brochure

The best part of documenting as you travel??  You can photograph your pages right in the place you are visiting! That's right- set it right on the beach like I did, hold it up to the sun, capture the foliage around you, it's a fun way to remember the actual details you are journaling about!

The tiny Pretty Little Studio star stickers are from July's Flyover States scrapbook kit! Perfect for noting details and places on a map. The background papers are from PI Kits as well, get the trend here??--all things that come in the kits get used!!

Did you see that Paper Issues now offers a "Tell Your Story" TN kit as well?  If you are in need of an amazing kit that is ready to go for travels as I used mine or to document your life at home!  It is a perfect thing to try for bite-size memory keeping!! Scraplift Sunday at Paper Issues

Hello, today I am up on the Paper Issues blog to show you this week's new scraplift Sunday!

Here is Olivia's beautiful layout that we are lifting this week at the Paper Issues Friends and Fans FB group.  I was so drawn to the stripes and the amazing layering that she used.  I couldn't wait to cut into my stash of Pinkfresh's travel collection: Out & About.

Image may contain: 2 people, people smiling

I was obsessed with the Riverwalk colorful umbrellas lining the river ways! Talk about color bliss!! We visited right before the 4th of July so there were lots of luminary bags all lining all of the edges.
It was magical! Pinkfresh was the perfect match for the pictures!

The mini alpha and mixed/layered embellishments were also included in the amazing March Paper Issues Scrapbook Kit. It was so much fun to pop things up with foam or to layer them similar to Olivia's beautiful design.

Grab the newest PI May Scrapbook kit "Fishin in the Dark" now- and the bold rainbow stripe paper from Pinkfresh is included!  I want about 5 more sheets!  I love the subtle map details in it and the colors are so gorgeous!

Thanks for stopping by!

Swanky Swatches: Beautiful Ordinary Family Life

Hello! I am up on the Paper Issues blog today with a new October challenge!
It is time to bring out the rich fall colors and this month's
Swanky Swatches challenge has the perfect set of colors
to work with on your projects.  I went right for the new Pinkfresh Indigo Hills 2 collection!

Here's the swatch to base your October design off of:
You can see I was inspired by the top three on the paint swatch and the bottom gray tone.
Another fall paper grouping that would be perfect is Pink Paislee's Auburn Lane!

The Pinkfresh Indigo Hills 2 Eminence paper was the lavender/light blue wash paper used to cut the Paper Issues free circle blooms cut file out of to begin my layers above the wreath design background paper from Pinkfresh.

Next, I stitched on the Paper Issues free  Leaves & Laurels cut file out of golden patterned paper and more Eminence Pinkfresh paper. Check out those sweet coordinating Pinkfresh mini alpha stickers!  They are puffy, cute, and perfect for the little title words or details you want to document!

The Pinkfresh ephemera pack and puffy stickers had several leaves that were perfect for tucking in along the stitched border to create more texture and depth. Add a sprinkling of Pinkfresh Indigo Hills 2 enamel dots and it's complete-- instant fall wreath for your autumn photos! Love that this paper already had paint splatters and inked lines for an amazing base to build up my wreath design.

Thank you for visiting my blog today!

Colors of Summer

Today I am up on the Paper Issues blog sharing my lift of this Sunday's Scraplift challenge. This week we are lifting the inspirational layout by Jen McMurtrey.  I love the new collections from Pinkfresh Studio and used Be You and Let your Heart Decide for this design.

Here is Jen's beautiful original design using Elle's Studio Noteworthy collection:

No automatic alt text available.

I adore this design's use of color blocking
and I had fun time sorting through my Pinkfresh collections
in search of embellishments that matched these color families.

The use of foam pop dots adds to the height variety in the quadrant of photos.
I lifted up two of them to vary it and create shadows along with
the use of puffy stickers and enamel shapes which add shine and texture!

The metallic alpha add the perfect amount of shine. I adore the many colors of the Pinkfresh mini alphas that are carrried in the PI store.

I used the packaging technique (small pieces of plastic packaging with watercolors added) dab on the background paper to get the splotchy, spotty look of the watercolors to coordinate with the colors.  For some of the colors, I mixed multiple colors from the watercolor palette to get the exact match.

The golden color paper and the bright green were both cut from the Let Your Heart Decide collection Escapade paper and it is a favorite as it is ombré!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today.
I hope you are inspired to play along at Paper Issues this month
with this Scraplift Sunday or any of the challenges that are offered until June 3rd!  There are gift cards you can win just by posting your projects!

Tis the Season to Fa La La La

It's a new Working Title Challenge at Paper Issues.  Amanda is challenging us to use song lyrics in our titles this month.  I made it easy and used a free PI cut file  "Tis the Season" with holiday song lyrics on it.

I love that the cut file gives the design a starting shape and place to build the rest of the layout off of--it truly made this come together quite quickly when I pulled out all of my new Pinkfresh December Days collection!

I pulled out some older Pink Paislee Merry & Bright green paper to back the cut file letters.  I love that Pinkfresh and the Pink Paislee both coordinate with my son's winter hat.  He informed me he doesn't like hats like this anymore because some kid at school says it's babyish. *Sad face*

The puffy sticker stars are my fave!  I love how they popped this background paper! The red and gold alpha stickers were a fun way to add interest to the "snow" area of my photo!

I hope you'll join along with the Working Title challenge this month at Paper Issues.  Also, go check out the Paper Issues store!  40isBetter will save you 40% for the next few days!

Pinkfresh:Live More

Today we are showcasing Pinkfresh: Live More collection on the Paper Issues blog.  I love the fun color palette with this collection, it was perfect for spring break pool pics!

Close ups:
I sewed together the two pieces of the Live More paper  and the plus signs Journey paper for the background.  I adore the time the kids have with their dad when we are on vacation.  They love that he is giving them full attention for fun in the pool all.day.long!  We live by the mantra to "work hard" and then provide lots of "play hard" memories like this as a family!

I love the puffy heart stickers included in The Mix by Pinkfresh.  The colors weren't exact matches, but close enough to work for this design.  I covered the s after the word Laughter as it seemed odd to me to have it spelled that way.  This gave way into the sprinkling of hearts throughout the page.

Those copper alpha stickers are so easy to work with and flexible if you need to move them/line them up multiple times like I do!!  The ephemera die cuts have the same rose gold foil, it was a beautiful shine to add to the vacation page.

Pinkfresh Spotlight

Pinkfresh Studio has two new amazing collections in the Paper Issues shop and today we are showcasing them on the PI Blog.  For my project, I used both Dream On and The Mix embellishments.

I had this fun photo of my son from last spring/summer when he was learning to bike with training wheels.  I had taken the photo at an angle, so I went with the colorful vibe from the picture and started cutting strips of paper in varying widths.

There are many fun phrases that were perfect for his biking adventure, so I made sure to place those first!  The other patterned papers worked well to bring in colors and designs,  The bold blue Reverie paper was one that I made sure I spread out across the page to balance out the heaviness of it.

Check out the enamel shapes, dots, puffy stickers, layered stickers, and ephemera.  There are so many pretty things to add to your projects.

We hope you are inspired to check out more Pinkfresh Studio in the PI Store along with all of the other gorgeous new supplies that just arrived in the shop!

December Swag Bag

It's Swag Bag time at Paper Issues!  The new December swag bag is full of golden goodness!  Have you checked it out in the store?  Here's mine-  I just received it in the mail today!

Here's my Swag Bag layout that I created with November's, October's and September's swag bags.

I was inspired by the Paper Issues order card with the coffee quote.  The Amy Tangerine watercolor circle prompted the circle theme!  I added the background paper to my swag bag mix and I added the coffee alpha stickers.  Otherwise, all the rest of the items are included in the swag bag!

Here are a few close ups:
I love, love, love the coffee card and the sweater paper!  So perfect for winter designs (or coffee)!  The Pinkfresh gold foil hearts paper fit right with my theme of my love of coffee.

I like the pops of pink that are scattered throughout the page.  I used more pink watercolor splatters on the background.

I snuck in the "I have issues" card to peek out of the coffee photo mats.  As in daily coffee issues!

I hope you are inspired to open up a swag bag from Paper Issues and get creative!  Cassie has the best coordinated bags each month and they never cease to amaze me!  I love to scheme layout designs and projects to use each little piece with!

PInspired December

The PInspire Me mood board this month at Paper Issues is stunning. Mary-Ann always does such an awesome job at finding images that spark so much inspiration!
I am a lover of all things modern and with clean lines for decorating and these images made me go right for Pinkfresh Oh Joy for my layout.
I was so inspired by the black trees on the pillows.  I wanted to make a fringe Christmas tree and went with the Pinkfresh triangular trees to create the shape.
I sewed each layer together and then pieces the three triangles together and sewed the whole tree down onto the background.

Pinkfresh Oh Joy

It's beginning to look a lot like.... NOOOOOOOO!!  I am so not ready for snow or Christmas quite yet even though it is predicted here later this week, but it sure was fun to get out my photos from last winter and scrap them using the new Pinkfresh Studio, Oh Joy collection for this product spotlight at Paper Issues.
Ryan loved eating the fresh snow from his gloves last year as a three year old!  He was just mesmerized by the fluffy snow coming down.

The Oh Joy collection worked so well with fun winter photos. I added the puffy alphabet from last year's winter Pinkfresh collection to make my title.  I used puffy stickers from Oh Joy, but others in the collection such as the  mirror stickers  have similar designs.

The tree had the perfect spot for journaling!

I love the Pinkfresh Oh Joy stickers and washi tapeand the pretty gray starry paper.  I layered cardstock and vellum along with foam dots to pop up the photo.

Last season's Pinkfresh collection Christmas Wishes had the cutest puffy alphabet, and you are in luck(!!) these acrylic aqua star stickers are still available in the PI store.  They are super cute and come in several shapes and colors to work with many holiday collections!

I added black India ink splatters to the top half of the background to mimic the bottom section of the paper design.

I hope you are inspired by the team's product spotlight today on all things Pinkfresh. Grab more from the Paper Issues store with my code: Stacie to save 20%
